Missha Super Aqua Pore Correcting Cleansing Foam and Toner Review

7:14 AM

Happy new year everyone! :D
I hope all of you had a lot of fun celebrating new year. :) I thought I will be able to post more often but boy, I was wrong. I was away for a few days, been spending time with my family and relatives because it's holidays. But I'm back now. Hohoho This is my first post for the year 2014. ^^ I'm gonna take a break from reviewing Etude House products for now. No Etude House product review for this week. lol
I will be reviewing 2 products from Missha's Super Aqua Pore Correcting line. This was supposed to be posted earlier this week but I lost my usb so I had to take new photos again. orz
If I'm not mistaken, this is the latest line from their Super Aqua series. Please do correct me if I'm wrong.
The Pore Correcting Line has a total of 5 products, 3 products are for daily use; Cleansing Foam, Toner and Serum and the remaining 2 are especially made for blackheads. I got 2 from this line, the cleansing foam and the toner. The sole reason I chose to try this is because my main problem is my pores. =_= Who has pore problems like me? Raise your right foot! ^^ I wanted to try something that can make the pores less visible.
Rich lather and fine scrub grains take care of pores clearly.
Cinnamon extract controls sebum to create smooth skin without shine.
Bora Bora white sand removes not only sebum but also blackhead gently.
Sea silt water that contains mineral offers vitality to skin.
-taken from jolse-
Sea silt is a valuable sediment which forms in estuaries and on the seabed; it is one of the purest natural substances in the world. Sea silt is rich in beneficial ingredients, such as oxygen, purifying clay, trace elements, sulphur, mineral-rich sea salt and organic components.
It comes in a large squeeze type tube. It doesn't have a box and there's no English translation on the tube. Compared to the Super Aqua Refreshing foam which has 200 ml amount of product, this one only has 150 ml and is a little more expensive than the other.
It's in a creamy form of facial wash and has small white balls, probably the bora bora white sand for exfoliating or getting rid of dirt and dead skin cells. It is quite thick and lathers really well. This smells like soap but the scent is very faint so I think this can still be okay to use even if you're a little sensitive with scented products.
A pea size amount is enough to make it foam nicely. Massage the face with it and rinse.
It cleanses really well, removes dirt and oil without giving the super tight squeaky feeling to your face but it doesn't give you the soft and smooth feeling either. I find this a little drying though, my nose is the oiliest part of my face and the rest are quite dry, I sometimes see dry patches on my cheeks near my lips and my nose became even oilier despite the claim that it controls sebum. It managed to make my pores a little less visible though but that pore minimizing effect doesn't last long. My face looks a bit brighter, feels clean and fresh after every use. This also didn't break me out compared to the Super Aqua Refreshing Cleansing Foam. There's nothing special about this but I do think this is better than the Refreshing one although this one contains less product and a little expensive.
Controls sebum and takes care of widened pores to be smooth.
Willow peel extract exfoliates old and creates clean pores.
Mastic tree extract and Sesaflash create resilient pores.
Sea silt water remains moisture balance to soothe skin to be moisturized.
The box.
It contains Willow Bark Extract to help remove dead skin cells and control sebum. It keeps the pores firm and dry.
This also contains Sesamum Indicum Protein, Seasflash and Mastic Tree Extract to help tighten wide and loosened pores.
Ingredients list
I love the packaging! lol It looks elegant and expensive. The bottle comes in a very nice light blue frosted glass that is thick and a little heavy.
It is a little hard to get the product at first because it's still full. It will be easier to pour the product once you've used about 5%. I didn't take a photo of the toner because it's just as clear as water. lol The scent is also similar to the cleansing foam, this one is just a little stronger.
I know the main steps in skincare is to cleanse, tone and moisturize and I have to admit I always skip the second one. lol Which is why it stings a bit when I first used this, my skin is familiar with toners now so it doesn't sting anymore. Yay. I use this after using the cleansing foam and apply it with a cotton pad, I just like how my skin feels fresh after using this, it also brightens a little. It doesn't strip all the moisture on your face so it's not drying and this made my skin soft and smooth. It's not sticky and gets absorbed relatively fast. This also made my pores a little less visible and my nose is less oilier when I use the cleansing foam with this toner. My skin feels so pampered after using this.
I've used both product for almost a month now and there are honestly no drastic changes on the pore size. It minimizes the pores for a while and then it will go back to it's original size after a few hours. There isn't anything special about these products but I do like the toner. Maybe the Super Aqua Refine Serum can help more on pore size problems. ^^

I can't believe it's already 2014. I hope this is going to be an awesome year for all of us! (๑•ᴗ•๑)
Thank you to all my lovely readers who have supported my blog during the past year. :)
Btw, I'm going to change my layout soon(?) and I really really really want to change my url. lol Idk what I was thinking when I used this url /face palm/ lmao and I didn't know I would spend so much time and effort blogging here. lol  I spent a lot of time and effort in blogging/making graphics of my oppars for the past 3 years in Tumblr lol But yeah I have come to love what I'm doing here now, been blogging about korean cosmetics for almost a year now. Almost, because I went on hiatus for like 3 months? lol So yeah, this url is really embarrassing so I want to change it. I know my page rank is going to be back to zero once I change my url but will I lose followers on gfc and bloglovin?
I'll change my email too, I get so many spam mails everyday. =_=
See you on my nest post. Bye!
