Want gorgeous lips? Try Platlips!

6:18 AM

Hello everyone! Do you love lip products? Have you ever had the urge to get every shade of a certain lipstick collection? Well, I do. Thanks to Ameli's Platlips. ;___;
Keep reading if you are interested. ;)

I can finally make a proper blog post after a week. Sorry for my absence, I went on a vacation with my family to celebrate my mom's birthday and I had a lot of fun so I don't have enough time to actually make a proper blog post. XD but hey, I'm back! Did anyone miss me? ..No one? Okay. /sulks in a corner/ loljk

I am very excited about this review so let's just move on with that. lol
The amazing people of Ameli Korea asked me to choose products that I would like to review and it's just so hard to pick! I don't know if I should choose Platlips or eyeshadows, fyi, Ameli's eyeshadows are really popular in Korea. It was even featured in a Korean beauty show called Get it beauty. They also have brushes, primer, foundation, powder, make up remover, eyeliner, mascara, pigments, lip gloss and blushes. It's such a shame that Ameli is not widely popular abroad because I've seen a lot of good reviews on Naver about their products. I have a good news for you though, if you want to try their products just go their US website. They sell it for a cheaper price there than other online shops. Click here to go to Ameli US and Ameli Korea. I personally prefer their Korean website because they have much more products there and it's very easy to navigate as well even if you can't read Hangul :D
So in the end, I chose Platlips because I love lip products so much! lol They also sent me an eyeshadow from Step Basic, Salmon Pink (will make a separate review for this one)
I chose Vampire, Rosebay and Apricot Cheese. It only took 5 days to arrive because they chose EMS. I spazzed so hard when I got it. LOL

WARNING! WARNING! THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH IS TOTALLY IRRELEVANT. JUST READ THE NEXT PARAGRAPH IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET ANNOYED.
...YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! XD
When I opened the box: Ooh, they packaging is impressive. They wrapped it really well. *o*
When I saw the products: OMG OMG OMG (1BILLION TIMES)
When I saw that they also sent me an eyeshadow: OMG IS THIS REAL LIFE OR IS THIS FANTASY
When I saw the 3 lipsticks: :O Which one should I open first??? /thinks for about 5 mins/ ah whatever. /picks a random box/
When I opened Platlips in Vampire: MY GOODNESS IT'S SO PRETTY LET ME SWATCH THIS.. /stops for a moment/
When I remembered that I have a blog: WAIT I NEED TO TAKE PICTURES FIRST. WHERE'S MY CAM? IT WONT LOOK GOOD IF I POST PICTURES OF USED PRODUCTS! /cries a little inside/
When I can't take a good photo because it's raining and it's so dark: LIGHTING WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME??!!! /flips tables/ loljk i didn't flip a table. the table here is so heavy and im too weak lol
When I decided to just look at the other colors: OHMYGOODNESS THESE ARE SO PRETTY I. NEED. TO. TRY. ALL. OF. THESE. NOOOOWWWW.
But then I remembered again that I have a blog: ..OKAY. I CAN WAIT UNTIL THE RAIN STOPS. I CAN WAIT.. /wants to cry tears of blood while singing rain rain go away/ lol
That's basically what happened. it's so sad and irrelevant, right? lol i don't even know why I typed this. But this happens to me most of the time. lololol

I will now proceed to the most important part of this blog post. The review. LOL I took a lot of pictures but I only chose a few so that it won't take 5ever to load. XD

Platlips is a solid product, but has a very soft and light texture when rubbed on with your fingertips. It's a long wearing color that applies smoothly and won't fade away. Easily applied with both finger tips or lip brush, it creates a natural make up. Can be used on both lips and cheek, as well as mixed with other colors naturally.
Sufficient quantity is the secret to long lasting moist texture and clear impression of color.

Size: 0.116 oz each
Platlips palette is 1.61 inches in diameter
Packing is 0.82 inches in diameter
Case is 0.98 inches deep.
-taken from AmeliUSA-

The box is really simple, it has a small hot pink star on top. I didn't expect it to be colorful when I opened it. love it! (it's pink lol)

You can see more info about the product on the sides of the box. I wish they included English translations.
Ingredients list

the packaging looks really simple to me but I think it's also quite elegant because it's made of exclusive handmade glass. It's so hard to capture the true color of the product because I use natural lighting (aka light in front of my window. lol) I think I should really buy a ring light soon. XD anyway, it also has a star on top just like the box.

i used vampire while taking photos. I just can't resist. sorry lol

you can also see the name of the shade and some info at the bottom of the packaging.

here's the actual measurement of the product that I took from Ameli's Korean website. :P

Here's a separate photo of Vampire. I just thought I should post this one because you can't really see the actual color in some of the photos I posted. ^^;; As you can see, it's deep blood red. I showed it to my nephews too and they were so amazed that the color is similar to blood. We were going to prank their mom but we can't see her so maybe we'll do it some other time. lol

Now onto the swatches:

on my wrist:

on my lips:

sorry for the very long photo. lol I really love all these three shades! It's impossible for me to choose a favorite tbh. The apricot cheese looks a bit different irl, it is more of a peachy pink color which really pretty and really good for everyday use. Vampire looks really nice too and I think it will look really good if you have pale skin. It will make you look like a vampire who just sucked some blood. lol Then all you will need is glitters to make you shine under the sunlight just like Edward Cullen. loljk I was going to try the "hey-i-just-ate-a-popsicle look" or the gradiation lips but i applied too much and I'm too lazy to redo it. lol yes, I'm very lazy. haha I love Rosebay too! I heard that this is the most similar color to what Yoon Eun Hye used in her kdrama "I Miss You" Platlips has a great color pay off. Rosebay and Vampire are both very pigmented and stays for about 5-6 hours, it depends on how much you applied. It leaves a nice stain on your lips as well. Apricot Cheese is more on the sheer side but the color is totally buildable. It fades faster than the others too. I still don't know if I like the packaging or what. I feel like they should have used the ordinary lipstick tube packaging but then I really like how it's different except that you will have to use your fingers for better blending. :/ Btw, this can also be used as a blush! I'll give this product a 9.5 out of 10! I really want to try all shades. lol they currently have 26 shades for Platlips, click HERE to see. which is your favorite? tell me in the comment box below. :)

Pros:
Has a wide variety of colors to choose from
Glides smoothly on the lips
very easy to blend
Moisturizing
great color payoff
leaves a nice stain
long lasting
buildable color

Cons:
may need to use my fingers for better blending
unhygienic
only available online

I totally recommend Platlips to everyone especially to those who loves lip products. :) You can buy this on Ameli USA for $14.50, other shops sell it for $18-$25. Also, visit Ameli USA to see other products from Ameli.

  24. Hello,
Thanks for the helpful and fun review. My question is: Does the Ameliusa website actually ship to the US? The main links are in English, but the rest is all Korean. I wish I could read it! I can't find where it states if they ship internationally or not. I'd love to try some of their products.

    Thanks again!
